IIT Bombay MTech Admission Form through GATE 2025 Out: Dates, Eligibility, Process, Fees, etc.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has officially opened the application window for MTech admissions 2025 through GATE 2025. Candidates with a valid GATE score can now apply for postgraduate engineering programs offered by IIT Bombay. The last date to submit the online GATE 2025 IIT Bombay MTech application form is April 11, 2025.
IIT Bombay offers MTech courses across various disciplines, including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering. Admission to these programs is based on the GATE 2025 score, followed by the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) process, which will begin from May 17 onwards. IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 scorecard on the official website. Candidates can upload their scorecard during the GATE IIT Bombay registration process.

How to Apply for IIT Bombay MTech 2025?
Eligible candidates must visit the official website of IIT Bombay MTech Admissions 2025 and complete the registration process. After filling in personal, academic, and GATE details, applicants must upload scanned documents and pay the required application fee. The step-by-step can be checked below -

- Click on the application form link and register
- Verify the GATE details and fill out the required details
- Upload documents - photo, signature, marksheets, caste certificate (if applicable), EWS certificate (if applicable), physical disability certificate (if applicable).
- Pay fees and submit the IIT Bombay GATE 2025 application form.
- Save and keep it for future reference

The results of the GATE MTech IIT Bombay admissions will be available or uploaded on the COAP portal. IIT Bombay admission to all the courses is entrance-based (Except for EMBA, where admission is merit-based and performance in the interview round). The IIT Bombay admission process includes the application process, selection round, cutoff, merit list or counselling and other steps. For BTech, candidates have to clear JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Further for other courses such as MTech, MBA, MSc, BDes, and MDes, aspirants need to clear GATE, CAT, IITJAM, UCEED, and CEED, respectively to qualify for further admission rounds.
IIT Bombay offers two-year MTech courses in 39 specialisations under 18 departments. Admission to the course is based on scores in GATE followed by COAP counselling. In addition, to be eligible to take the entrance test, candidates must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants can apply for GATE online by visiting the official website. Aspirants who have not qualified GATE can get admission through written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round.
