IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Summer Research Internship Scheme 2025

IIT Dhanbad Summer Internship 2025: IIT (ISM) Dhanbad invites applications for the Summer Research Internship Scheme (SRIS) for Undergraduate (Category-I) and Postgraduate (Category-II) students. Additionally, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad applications are open for the Long-Term Research Internship Scheme (Category-III) for B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Sc.Tech, and MBA students.

To apply for the IIT (ISM) Dhanbad summer internship research scheme, the applicants must submit a duly filled application form along with the required documents and the application fee receipt (clearly mentioning UTR No., date, and time of payment) as a single PDF file. The application should be sent to srip@iitism.ac.in by April 15, 2025, for Categories I & II and by April 30, 2025, for Category III.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Summer Research Internship Scheme 2025 for Category-I

The B.Tech Summer Research Internship Scheme 2025 (category I) at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers three types of funding: Institute-funded (limited to three positions per department), Project-funded (subject to availability), and Self-funded (based on departmental requirements).

The IIT Dhanbad SRIP application window will remain open till April 15, 2025. The internship duration ranges from a minimum of one month to a maximum of two months. They also have to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 500, noting that demand drafts will not be accepted.

Upon completing the IIT Dhanbad internship, interns are required to deliver an end-term presentation before a review committee. The internship guide must submit the committee’s recommendation along with the student’s attendance record to the Office of the Dean (R&D) via e-office for the issuance of the internship certificate.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Summer Research Internship Scheme 2025 for Category-II

The PG students Summer Research Internship Scheme 2025 (Category-II) at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers three types of funding: Institute-funded (limited to three positions per department), Project-funded (subject to availability), and Self-funded (based on departmental requirements). However, PG students already receiving a fellowship will not be eligible for additional financial support under this scheme.

The IIT (ISM) Dhanbad SRIP application can be filled out by April 15, 2025, along with a registration fee of INR 500. The internship duration ranges from a minimum of one month to a maximum of two months.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Summer Research Internship Scheme 2025 for Category III

The Long-Term Research Internship Scheme (Category-III) at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is open to B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and MBA students. This scheme offers two types of funding: Project-funded (based on availability) and Self-funded, with a maximum of five interns per department. The application will be available till April 30, 2025, and the internship duration ranges from 6 to 12 months.

Interns must pay the actual tuition fee per semester upon joining. Long-term interns are required to deliver a mid-term presentation, preferably two months after joining, before a review committee.
