IIT Madras Entrepreneurship Summit 2024 to Host 15,000 Students and 1,000+ Business Founders

IIT Madras Entrepreneurship Summit 2024

IIT Madras: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Entrepreneurship Cell will host the 9th 'Entrepreneurship Summit' from March 7 to 10, 2024, to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. The E-Summit 2024 will include over 50 distinguished speakers and more than 50 events across four conclaves: Youth, Innovators', Start-up (sponsored by Vi Business), and Start-up Essentials (sponsored by Trilegal).

This is the inaugural student-organized entrepreneurial event in India to secure ISO, Startup India, and UNESCO certifications. Featuring over 1,000 founders, 50+ investors, and 15,000+ students from more than 400 colleges across India, the Summit stands out. Additionally, E-Summit 2024 will include a complimentary Start-up Expo, an anticipated grand showcase offering a stage for 100 innovative start-ups to display their advanced products and services to an audience exceeding 15,000.

The event is supported by WestBridge Capital, a San Mateo, USA-based investment firm; the 1990 Alumni Batch of IIT Madras; the SBI Start-up Branch; the IIT Madras Research Park; and Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Ltd., the world's leading motorcycle manufacturer.

Addressing a Press Conference, Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, said, “Innovation & Entrepreneurship is the most important building block for Viksit Bharat @ 2047. Through this Summit IIT Madras aspires to bring in several young entrepreneurs, VCs, academia, industry and government together to march towards a Technology Super power India.”

Speaking about this edition of E-Summit, Dr. Richa Agarwal, Faculty Advisor, E-Cell, IIT Madras, said, “The upcoming E-Summit is a perfect opportunity for our budding entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative solutions for real-world challenges, and seek out joint ventures, mentorship platforms and funding opportunities.”

Fund-Raising Competition - Elevate

E-Summit 2024 also brings forth the seventh edition of the prestigious pan-India fund-raising competition: ‘Elevate’ – which has seen the participation of close to 800 start-ups from various domains. ‘Elevate’ brings together eminent start-ups and 35+ Venture Capital Firms from across the nation, like Titan Capital, Speciale Invest, GVFL, and 100X. ­­­­

IIT Madras E-Summit will also present a series of 'Inspirit lectures' and 'Masterclasses' led by industry veterans from various sectors, sharing their personal experiences and challenges related to the summit's central theme. This year’s line-up includes:
