The Indian Institute of Madras (IIT Madras) activated the IIT Madras MTech admission application form link through GATE 2025 on March 27. The last date to apply is April 25. Read below to know more about the IIT Madras GATE 2025 admission

IIT Madras MTech application form through GATE

IIT Madras MTech Application through GATE scores is now available. Candidates with a valid GATE score of 2023/2024/2025 can apply from the official website. The institute offers 31 MTech programmes in various disciplines. The last date to apply is April 25. Registrations through COAP will start from May 17 onwards. 

If a candidate wishes to apply using valid GATE 2023, GATE 2024, or GATE 2025 scores and also as an IIT Graduate, four separate applications would be required with a separate application fee, i.e., three corresponding to applications for each GATE score and one for the application as an IIT Graduate. 

How to Apply to IIT Madras GATE Admissions?

Before applying, candidates must go through all the instructions and keep the documents as per the specifications. The step-by-step process to apply for IIT Madras with GATE scores is as follows -

  • Visit the official website of IIT Madras - https://mtechadm.iitm.ac.in/
  • Click on the application form link and register 
  • Fill out the required details, such as personal, educational qualification information, communication details etc. 
  • Upload the required documents, such as a valid GATE scorecard, category certificate, etc. 
  • Pay the application fee for the IIT Madras MTech application form through GATE 2025 and submit the application form. 

IIT Madras MTech Application Form Fees

The IIT Madras MTech application form fees through GATE 2025 are as follows -

  • For SC/ST/PwD and female candidates, the application fee is INR 300/-
  • For all other applicants, the IIT Madras MTech application fee is INR 600/-

All MTech admission offers through GATE will be displayed on the COAP portal. Candidates must register at the portal to view and accept the offers. Registration at COAP is free and mandatory. The COAP registration number is required for registration on the IIT Madras MTech 2025 applications portal. The last date for submitting the IIT Madras GATE application form is April 25, 2025. The GATE 2025 scorecard will be released on March 28, and the GATE results have been declared. 

Q: Β  What is the last date of filling the GATE 2026 Application form?

The GATE 2026 registration is now ongoing at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can fill out the application form till September 28 (without late fees). The last date to submit the GATE 2026 application form with late fees is October 9. 

Candidates must note that the GATE application form will be made available at the GOAPS portal only. The portal link is now activated.

  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Scanned signature (as per the specifications)
  • Updated valid ID, such as Aadhar card, PAN Card, Driving License, voter ID, etc.
  • Category certificate (if applicable).

Candidates will be required to deposit the following types of fees through SBI MOPS using Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or SBI Bank e-Challan.
