IIT Madras Summer Fellowship Programme 2026

IITM Summer Fellowship Programme: Indian Institute of Technology Madras has started accepting IITM Summer Fellowship Programme 2026 applications. Those interested and meeting eligibility can apply for summer fellowship programme till March 2, 2026 by 5 PM. Candidates need to visit official website iitm.ac.in/summer-fellowship-registration to complete their IIT Madras summer fellowship programme 2026. 

IIT Madras Summer Fellowship Programme is a two‑month initiative for young talent across engineering, sciences, humanities, and management disciplines. As per announced date, IITM summer internship programe will be held from May 18 to July 17, 2026 and it offers opportunity for academic research under guidance of IITM faculty.

Those interested can apply for summer internship programme at: ssp.iitm.ac.in/summer-fellowship-registration. Selected candidates for IIT Madras summer fellowship programme will receive stipend of INR 15,000 per month, with hostel and mess facilities available on a paid basis, subject to availability. 

Who are eligible to apply for IIT Madras Summer Fellowship Programme 2026?

Candidates who are in their third year of BE/BTech/BSc (Engineering) or third/fourth year of Integrated ME/MTech programs, as well as those in their first year of ME/MTech/MSc/MA or MBA with a good academic record, are eligible to apply for IITM summer fellowship programme. It must be noted that IIT students are not eligible to apply for this summer fellowship programme.

• Recent Passport size photograph 
• Category Certificate, if applicable
• Student Aadhar Card 
• Bonafide: Letter from Institute: Should certify that they are a bonafide student issued by Head of Institution 
• Academic Certificate/Mark sheet of classes 10th, 12th or Polytechnic and all semester mark sheets up to most recently completed one as a single consolidated PDF
