IIT Roorkee and CADFEM India Set Up Digital Twin Lab to Boost Innovation

India Institute of Technology Roorkee and CADFEM India Pvt. Ltd. have collaborated to establish advanced Digital Twin Simulation Labs. This initiative strengthens the digital engineering education and research ecosystem by integrating Ansys’ world-class Multiphysics simulation technologies with CADFEM’s deep engineering expertise. The lab is set to empower students, researchers, and faculty to tackle complex challenges, foster innovation, and accelerate the adoption of Digital Twin technologies in academia.

Under the MoU, IIT Roorkee will gain access to Ansys’ state-of-the-art Digital Twin, CFD, FEM, and Electromagnetics simulation solutions for academic research, curriculum enhancement, and skill development. CADFEM will provide software licenses, technical workshops, ongoing support, and collaborative research guidance to help students and faculty tackle real-world engineering challenges using simulation.

The collaboration will feature joint workshops, lectures, publications, and outreach initiatives to advance the use of Digital Twin and Multiphysics simulation in addressing complex engineering challenges. It will also encourage researchers and scholars to co-author scientific publications in emerging domains such as sustainable systems, smart infrastructure, and AI-driven product development.
