IIT Roorkee AI Programme: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has launched new Post-Graduate Certificate Programme in Building AI-Powered Business Applications for professionals looking to develop practical skills in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for business applications. 

This four-month programme is aimed at professionals who want to learn how to build AI-powered business solutions through no-code approaches. The programme will focus on practical applications of Generative AI and Agentic AI in real-world business scenarios.

As per a press statement, the programme follows an application driven learning approach. Participants will work on practical business problems through hands-on exercises, mini-projects and a capstone project. The total programme fee is INR 1,09,000 plus GST. Eligible candidates interested in developing practical AI and automation skills can apply as per admission process announced for programme. 

IIT Roorkee AI Certificate Programme: What Will Students Learn?

This programme is designed to help students understand how AI can be used to improve business processes and decision-making. This will cover

• Building AI-powered applications using no-code approaches

• Designing AI agents and intelligent workflow automations

• Creating enterprise knowledge assistants using retrieval-based AI systems

• Understanding responsible AI, governance, security and deployment readiness

• Applying AI to research, reporting, operations, collaboration and decision-making workflows

A major focus of programme will be on Generative AI and Agentic AI. Participants will learn how to identify business processes where AI can create value and then design AI-enabled workflows to address those requirements.

Eligibility for IIT Roorkee AI Programme

Graduates and diploma holders can apply for this programme. However, candidates applying with a diploma must have a minimum of three years of work experience. This is particularly suited for working professionals who want to develop AI-related skills without necessarily having a programming or coding background.

IIT Roorkee AI Certificate Programme Duration and Class Schedule

IIT Roorkee Post-Graduate Certificate Programme will be conducted over four months. Classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays for three hours. The weekend schedule is to allow working professionals to pursue programme alongside their existing professional commitments.
