IIT Roorkee holds Uttarakhand Talent Search Examination

IIT Roorkee conducted Uttarakhand Talent Search examination (UTSE). The examination was held in association with Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC). The annual tech fest team of IIT Roorkee, Cognizance, took care of the event. The theme of the event was “Unwinding Chaos”, a small modification in the initial situation can bring massive variations to the surrounding. In North India, Cognizance is the biggest technical fest of IIT.

In the state of Uttarakhand, UTSE is held for the students of class 9 and 10 to find out the real capability of students. It was held in seven schools of Roorkee and seven schools of Dehradun. Over 5000 students from KVIIP, KV ONGC, KV No.-2, KV FRI, KV IMA, Doon Public School, Siddhartha Public School, ABN school, Anand Swaroop Arya Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Army Public School No.-1, and Chandra Shekhar Public School took part in the examination. 

The exam put emphasis on the basic aptitude and the expertise required to solve the sums from the school syllabus. The questions were based on English, Aptitude, General knowledge and Mathematics. The victorious students of UTSE examinations were bestowed with a chance to be a part of paid trip to Cognizance 2019, the biggest technical fest of North India, at IIT Roorkee.

The aim of the examination was to identify young talents and boost their skills as it is the most significant phase of their lives. Young talents are the future torchbearers and nurturing them at an early stage of their lives would shape their minds to go beyond the barriers to reach the pinnacle of their career.
