The JAC Chandigarh Round 1 seat allotment will be prepared based on candidates' JEE Main 2026 ranks, category, preferences filled during counselling and seat availability in the participating institutes. The counselling process facilitates admissions to engineering and architecture programmes offered by institutes such as Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (UICT), University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (CCET) and Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA).

How to check JAC Chandigarh Round 1 allotment result

Candidates can follow these steps to download the allotment result:

1. Visit the official JAC Chandigarh counselling portal.
2. Click on the Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2026 link.
3. Enter the JEE Main application number and password.
4. Submit the details.
5. The allotted institute and branch will be displayed on the screen.
6. Download the allotment letter and keep a printout for future admission formalities.

What after the Round 1 allotment?

Candidates who are allotted seats in Round 1 will have to submit the online admission fee and indicate their willingness to participate in subsequent counselling rounds, if applicable, between July 10 and July 13. Those who fail to complete the fee payment and willingness submission within the prescribed deadline may lose their allotted seat. Candidates who wish to withdraw after the first round can do so on July 14.

Candidates who are not allotted any seat in Round 1 or wish to upgrade their allotment can participate in the second round of counselling. As per the official schedule, Round 2 choice filling and locking will be conducted from July 15 to July 17, while the Round 2 seat allotment result will be announced on July 18 after 8 PM.
