JEE Main Results 2014: AIR to be declared on July 7
The Central Board of Secondary Education will be declaring the all India ranks (AIRs) secured by candidates in joint entrance exam (JEE) Main on July 7, 2014. The JEE Main 2014 rank cards will be made available to candidates only after July 7, 2014.
A candidateβs AIR would be prepared on the basis of their JEE Main 2014 score (which would be given 60% weightage) as well as their normalised score in Class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam (which would be given 40% weightage).
The rank card issued for JEE Main 2014 would contain a candidateβs All India Rank, State Rank as well as Category Rank. This rank card would include the total marks scored by a candidate as well as marks scored by him in individual subjects/papers. This score card is now available on the JEE Main 2014 website as the results have already been declared.
Out of all the ranks mentioned, only AIR is used by the Central Counselling Board for offering admissions into the various NIT, CFTIs, SFIs as well as other engineering colleges. Other ranks are mentioned just to offer additional information to the candidate.
From 2014 onwards no scorecard for JEE Main would be mailed to candidates and they will need to download their rank/score card from the official website of JEE Main 2014
