JEE Mains 2027 Registration Opening Soon: Documents Required, Fee Structure, and Key NTA Guidelines
Lakhs of engineering students are awaiting the commencement of JEE Main 2027 Session 1 registration. The exam dates of session 1 have been announced by the NTA through its official Examination Calendar and are scheduled to be held during the last week of January 2027.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the JEE Mains registration date 2027 soon. The NTA will release information brochure with complete details of registration timeline for both sessions. The NTA had earlier announce the JEE Mains 2027 exam date session 1. The dates are 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30 January with 31 January as buffer day.
Expected JEE Mains Registration Date 2027
Considering the previous year schedule, the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application date is likely to be announced anytime this week. The registration is likely to begin from October last week at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The NTA will release application dates notification in the official website nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Documents to keep ready for JEE Main Registration
As per the application process mentioned in the official website and information brochure, candidates have to upload/fill information from class 10 marksheet, class 12 admit card (if not passed), category certificates, photo ID proof like Aadhaar and PwD certificate (If applicable). The list of all documents required for application is given here
- Class 10th certificate & marksheet (for name and date of birth)
- Class 12th particulars or admit card
- Recently taken passport size photograph and signature (in specified size)
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) or PwD certificate, if applicable
- Valid Aadhaar or any other ID and working mobile number and email ID
JEE Main Application Fees
NTA has not released the fees of 2027. According to previous year details, the JEE Main application fee is INR 1,000 for General male candidates, INR 900 for General-EWS/OBC-NCL male candidates, INR 800 for all female and Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL female candidates, and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates. The fee however depends on the number of papers opted and whether the centre is inside India or outside India.
Important guidelines for Filling JEE Main Application Form
NTA issues general advisory and guidelines for candidates on application process. As per the last year advisory, candidates must keep adhere to the below mentioned points while applying
- Application should only be submitted through the official website of NTA.
- Details provided in application should match the certificates as very little leeway is given for corrections.
- Candidates should submit their own mobile number and email ID
