JEXPO 2025 Merit List Date Soon: Latest on OBC Reservation Legal Battle & High Court Ruling
WBSCTE, the authority for JEXPO 2025 admission, will soon announce the JEXPO merit list date 2025. The delay in the merit list/result for JEXPO, VOCLET, and WBJEE arises due to the ongoing legal battle over the 7% reservation criteria. Check details on JEXPO merit list and admission here.
JEXPO Merit List 2025 Date: The West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) will soon announce the JEXPO 2025 merit list release date. The authority will release the JEXPO merit list 2025 on the website, scvtwb.in. Candidates must be aware of the ongoing proceedings around the OBC reservation for WBJEE and other exams. This has also delayed the West Bengal Common Admission Process and the merit list preparation for JEXPO 2025.
The Calcutta High Court has ordered the WBJEEB authorities to withhold results, pause the admission process, and issue a fresh WBJEE 2025 merit list within 15 days in line with the reservation policy. The JEXPO 2025 merit list is also expected to be released during this period.
The authority will prepare the JEXPO merit list based on the candidateโs 10th-class marks. Students who registered for admission to first-year polytechnic courses in West Bengal will be considered for allotment once the list is finalised.
Meanwhile, the West Bengal Common Admission Process remains on hold, causing continued uncertainty for students. The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) set September 15, 2025, as the final deadline for polytechnic admissions; however, the ongoing court case is expected to cause a delay.
Though the continuous legal trial addresses major policy issues, it's causing more delay and thus hitting the students hardest: Many are unsure whether to wait for JEXPO or explore alternative options, risk seat losses at other institutes.
