KCET Counselling 2026 Round 2 Web Option Entry Window Closes on August 13
KEA will close the KCET 2026 Round 2 option entry on August 13. Candidates must finalize engineering, architecture, and agriculture choices online before the portal locks ahead of provisional allotment.
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is conducting the Round 2 counselling process of KCET. Currently the option entry for is ongoing which will conclude tomorrow, August 13, 2026. The online portal, allowing students to submit, modify, rearrange, or delete their course choices across will close on August 13, 2026, however there are also chances that the exam body might extend the last date, but we are not sure of that as there is no official confirmation yet. This secondary phase follows the conclusion of Round 1, which filled roughly 1.22 lakh out of 1.41 lakh professional seats across the state. Eligible students must access the portal via the Official KEA Website - cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea to lock in their selections before the morning deadline. Guidelines for Candidates

Verified rank holders who were not allotted any seat in Round 1 can enter fresh choices. Candidates who retained a seat from the first round can participate to try for a better institutional upgrade.

KEA advises applicants to enter a higher number of choices rather than a limited list to minimize the chance of remaining unallotted. Course selections should be arranged strictly according to real preference rather than previous cutoff scores.

Following announcement of provisional results on August 19, candidates will navigate restricted choices. They can opt for Choice-1 to accept and freeze their seat, or Choice-4 to exit the state counseling process altogether.
