KEA Extends UGCET 2026 Document Verification Deadline to May 21

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released a short notice stating that it is giving candidates a final opportunity to complete their pending document verification. Candidates who missed the previous window must visit the nearest government Pre-University (PU) college with all necessary original documents by May 21, 2026.

According to an official statement by KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna (IAS), this extension is strictly for specific candidates.

Who Needs to Attend the Document Verification?

  • Candidates whose Claims Certificate explicitly states "Claims not Verified".

  • Candidates who claimed quotas under Kannada Medium Study, Rural Study, Linguistic Minority, or Religious Minority, but see "Not verified" on their certificate.

Who is Exempted from this practice?

  • Candidates with "Claimed and Verified" remark on their certificate.

  • Students whose academic details were successfully fetched and verified via the SATS portal during the application process, showing "Successfully Verified," are exempt from attending.

KEA emphasized that this additional window is provided because several candidates failed to verify their records during the initial schedule. Eligible students are urged to complete the process before the May 21 deadline to ensure their seat allotments.
