Following KCET 2026 Round 3 final seat allotment result declaration, KEA has published a vacancy matrix revealing over 19,000 un-allotted engineering seats left across Karnataka.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released vacant seats after releasing KCET round 3 final seat allotment results. As per the KCET seat matrix released on September 8, 2026, a total of 19,509 un-allotted engineering seats across 161 professional colleges are left vacant awaiting to be filled.

The data shows a massive deficit in student enrollment, particularly impacting traditional core branches and regional campuses across states. Below mentioned are the vacant seats after round 3 final seat allotment release:

The vacancy list is expected to put heavy operational and financial pressure on private college administrations, hence we can expect a spot round counselling schedule or spot admission process soon.

Earlier the exam body released the KCET 2026 round 3 provisional seat allotment on September 4, 2026 and candidates were given a brief window to select the choice 4 where uninterested candidates had to opt out of admission, this was followed by round 3 final seat allotment which was released on September 7, 2026.
