KEA Special Category Medical Exams Begin May 26; Pre-Booking Mandatory for UGCET 2026 Candidates

KEA announces Medical Exam Schedule for UGCET 2026 Special Category Candidates. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct mandatory medical examinations from May 26 to June 2 for UGCET 2026 candidates who have claimed seats under special category quota for professional courses, including medical and engineering.

KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna, IAS, stated that eligible applicants will have to pre-book their examination date via official link released on KEA website on May 23.

The evaluation venue depends on nature of disability:

• Minto Hospital: For candidates with visual impairments and eye-related issues.

• Victoria Hospital: For all other types of physical disabilities.

Candidates must present themselves before the designated medical board on their booked slot. Only those certified as eligible by these boards will qualify for special category seat allocation.

When will KCET Results 2026 be declared?

The KCET results 2026 are expected to be declared around May 28-29. A May 24 re-exam in Hiriyur due to malpractice caused this delay, said Dr. M.C. Sudhakar.
