KEA UGCET 2026 Over 10,000 Attend Day 1 of Seat Allocation Workshops Across 64 Karnataka Colleges
KEA’s UGCET 2026 counseling workshops drew over 10,000 students and parents on day one across 64 colleges in Karnataka. Led by KEA-trained experts, the sessions resolve seat allocation doubts. Workshops run daily in two slots until May 30, excluding May 28. Prior slot booking online is mandatory.
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has shared a tweet stating that it received an overwhelming response to UGCET 2026 seat allocation deliberation workshops, which commenced on May 25, 2026 across 64 colleges in the state of Karnataka.
As per the tweet shared by the exam body, over 10,000 aspiring candidates and their parents attended the first day of the awareness program to clarify doubts regarding the upcoming counseling process. According to KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna (IAS), approximately 13,000 people had pre-registered on KEA portal for the inaugural sessions.

Date and Time of the Session
The interactive workshops are being hosted in government engineering, medical, and dental colleges statewide. The daily schedule consists of two designated time slots:

Morning Session: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Afternoon Session: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Trained resource persons and official KEA staff are stationed at each venue to provide direct guidance. They are conducting awareness presentations and holding open Q&A sessions to address student queries regarding choice filling and seat allotment logistics.

Each paper of KCET exam is conducted for 80 minutes. The Kannada language exam of KCET will be conducted for 60 minutes for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. KCET exam Biology and Mathematics exam will be conducted on same day while Physics & Chemistry exam will be conducted on separate day.
Karnataka CET also known as KCET is state-level entrance exam organised by KEA yearly. The objective is to shortlist students for admission in undergraduate (UG) courses in participating colleges in Karnataka state.
The exam body released the exam dates for the KCET 2026 on its official website. As per the dates, the test was conducted on April 23-24, 2026.
KEA advises all upcoming attendees to book an online slot via the official website before visiting the nearest center. The workshops will run daily until May 30, with temporary pause on May 28. Students and parents are encouraged to make the most of this window to understand the KCET counseling system.
