KEAM 2026 Phase 1 Allotment Released; Deadline to Pay Fee July 12
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has released the KEAM 2026 Phase 1 final seat allotment for admission to BTech programmes.
Candidates who participated in the first round of the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) can now check their allotment status by logging into the KEAM candidate portal using their application number and password. Candidates allotted a seat in Phase 1 must complete the required fee payment on or before July 12, 2026, to confirm their admission.
The seat allotment has been prepared based on the candidate's KEAM rank, category, reservation norms, availability of seats, and the options submitted during the choice-fillingΒ process. Along with the allotment result, candidates can also download their allotment memo, which will be required during admission at the allotted institute.
Those satisfied with the allotted seat can confirm their admission by paying the fee online through the candidate portal. Candidates seeking a better allotment in the next phase can retain their current seat after fee payment and participate in further counselling rounds as per the schedule announced by CEE Kerala.
How to check KEAM 2026 Phase 1 allotment
Check the steps below to check the KEAM phase 2 allotment:
- Visit the official CEE Kerala candidate portal.
- Click on the KEAM 2026 candidate login link.
- Enter the application number and password.
- View the Phase 1 allotment result.
- Download the allotment memo and fee payment details.
After completing the fee payment, candidates should keep a copy of the payment receipt for future reference. They are also advised to regularly visit the official website for updates regarding Phase 2 counselling, option rearrangement, and reporting to the allotted colleges.
The KEAM 2026 counselling process will continue in multiple phases to fill the remaining engineering seats across participating institutes in Kerala. The schedule for the next phase of allotment and option confirmation will be announced by CEE after the completion of the Phase 1 admission process.
Commonly asked questions
There is no paper 1 or paper 2 in KEAM anymore. As per the revised KEAM exam pattern, KEAM will not have two papers anymore. There will be one paper. The KEAM 2026 engineering candidates have to attempt a total of 150 questions. Mathematics will have 75 questions, Physics will have 45 questions, and Chemistry will have 30 questions to be answered in 180 minutes. For KEAM 2026 BPharm ONLY candidates, the Entrance Examination will have a total of 75 questions; 45 questions in Physics and 30 questions in Chemistry to be answered in 90 minutes. For each correct response, candidates will be awarded FOUR marks, and for each incorrect response, ONE mark will be deducted.
The KEAM exam has moved on to the online CBT mode from 2024 onwards. The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations has received approval from the government of Kerala to conduct KEAM in CBT mode. KEAM exam pattern has been changed, and KEAM 2026 will be held in computer-based test mode, and there will be one paper.
KEAM full form is Kerala Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Entrance Exam, it is an entrance exam that is conducted in Kerela, Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai. The entrance test is held for admission to engineering courses at various colleges in Kerela that are approved by the Central and State Regulatory Bodies, Universities and Government. The candidates who qualify in KEAM have to then appear for the centralised admission process (CAP), conducted by CEE. Via CAP, admission will be also provided in medical, agriculture, forestry, veterinary, fisheries, architecture, and pharmacy courses. However, for admission to these courses candidates do not need to appear for KEAM they need NEET / NATA scores as applicable. KEAM engineering rank is prepared by giving an equal weightage of 50:50 to the score obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by CEE for Engineering and the marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardization procedure.
