L&T EduTech and IBM will support new B.Tech specialisations in Multimodal Transport with AI/ML and Advanced AI, respectively.

Medicaps University, Indore, has announced academic collaborations with global technology leaders IBM and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to launch two new B.Tech specializations. The programs are designed to equip students with future-ready skills, addressing the evolving demands of the tech and infrastructure sectors.

The Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were officially signed on Wednesday at the university campus in the presence of Honโ€™ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dilip Kumar Patnaik.

Under this collaboration:

  • L&T EduTech will support the launch of a B.Tech specialization in Multimodal Transportation Infrastructure with AI/ML, led by the Department of Civil Engineering.
  • IBM Innovation Center for Education will guide the newly introduced B.Tech specialization in Advanced Artificial Intelligence, focusing on next-gen AI technologies.

The Multimodal Transportation Infrastructure with AI/ML program will provide civil engineering students with cutting-edge skills in designing and managing integrated transportation systems across road, rail, air, and sea. The curriculum includes modules on sustainable transport planning, smart traffic systems, and AI-powered infrastructure technologies.

Meanwhile, the Advanced Artificial Intelligence specialization in partnership with IBM offers deep dives into emerging fields such as generative AI, cloud computing, and large language models (LLMs). Students will benefit from hands-on access to IBMโ€™s proprietary tools, hybrid labs, and globally recognized certifications.

โ€œAt Medicaps, we believe that strong industry-academic linkages are key to creating a workforce thatโ€™s both skilled and agile. Our partnerships with IBM and L&T represent a transformative leap in that direction. These programs will not only strengthen our academic rigor but also provide our students with a competitive edge in the global job market,โ€ said Prof. Dilip Kumar Patnaik, Vice-Chancellor, Medicaps University.
