MHT CET 2026 CAP Round 1 Seat Acceptance, College Reporting Ends Today; Know What To Do?
MHT CET 2026 CAP Round 1 seat acceptance and institute reporting will close today, August 5. Candidates must confirm admission and complete document verification before the deadline.
The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, will close the MHT CET 2026 CAP round 1 seat acceptance and reporting process today, August 5. Candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round must complete online seat acceptance, pay the prescribed acceptance fee and report to their allotted institute with the required documents before the deadline. Failure to do will lead to cancellation of admission.
Candidates can choose the 'Freeze' option if they are satisfied with the allotted college and branch or 'Float' if they wish to be considered for a better allotment in the upcoming CAP rounds while retaining their current seat.

Candidates allotted a seat should ensure they have:
- Accepted the allotted seat through the candidate login.
- Paid the seat acceptance fee.
- Selected the appropriate option (Freeze or Float).
- Reported to the allotted institute.
- Completed document verification and admission formalities.
What Happens If You Miss Todayβs Deadline?
Candidates who do not complete seat acceptance and institute reporting within the stipulated time will lose their round 1 seat allotment. Such candidates will have to participate in the subsequent counselling rounds as per the CET Cell guidelines, subject to eligibility and seat availability.
Once the reporting process concludes, the CET Cell will announce the vacant seat list on August 6. The option form filling and fresh choice submission for CAP round 2 will be held from August 7 to 9. The seat allotment results will be released on August 12.
