The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the MHT CET CAP round 2 cutoff 2026 for first-year engineering admissions. The cutoff is relased branch-wise for each participating college. The authorities have provided separate cutoff pdfs for MH and AI candidates. The round 2 MHT CET cutoff 2026 highlights that the competition remains high particularly for Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and related programmes. At the same time, cutoffs at several other institutes and for core engineering branches have been considerably lower.

The COEP Technological University’s Computer Science and Engineering branch remains to be highly competitve. For the GOPENS category, CSE closed at 99.9723948 percentile, with a Maharashtra State General Merit number of 170. The cutoff remained higher for reserved and special categories. For example, the GSCS closing percentile was 98.9723, while the GSEBCS and GOBCS figures were above 99.8 percentile. Other COEP branches also remained in the 99-percentile range. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering had a GOPENS cutoff of 99.8423 percentile, while Electrical Engineering closed at 99.6348 percentile. Instrumentation and Control Engineering recorded a GOPENS cutoff of 99.5889 percentile, and Mechanical Engineering closed at 99.5525 percentile.
The MHT CET CAP round 2 cutoffs for Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai are similar. VJTI’s Information Technology programme recorded a GOPENS closing percentile of 99.9922813, with a State General Merit of 75.
All India Round 2 Cutoff Highlights
At COEP, the All India cutoff for Computer Science and Engineering was an All India merit number of 361, corresponding to a JEE Main percentile of 99.2748. AI and Machine Learning closed at All India merit number 413, corresponding to 99.1999. At Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT), the All India cutoff for Computer Engineering was rank 893, corresponding to 98.6885 percentile, while AI and Data Science closed at 999 with 98.5860 JEE score.
