MHT CET 2026 Seat Allotment and Important Details on CAP Round II
The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell Maharashtra has concluded the MHT CET option entry for CAP round 2. Candidates were allowed to add/delete college and branch options from the preference list. Further, candidates could change their preference order before the last date. The MHT CAP CAP round 2 option entry concluded on August 9. Now the admission process has moved to the allotment stage. The preferences filled, candidate's merit and the availability of seats will be considered for the allotment and admission process. The authorities will announce the MHT CET seat allotment for CAP round 2 on August 12. Candidates can check the MHT CET 2026 seat allotment on the official website, fe2026.mahacet.org.
The candidates who have not filled the option form will not be considered for admission and allotment. As per the official MHT CET 2026 CAP round 2 seat matrix, a toal of 54,700 seats are available for engineering admission.
How to Check MHT CET Seat Allotment 2026?
Once the seat allotment results are posted online, candidates can check their allotment status by logging into the counselling portal. The step-by-step process to download the MHT CET allotment letters is given below.
- Visit the official MHT CET CAP portal.
- Click on the “CAP Round 2 Seat Allotment” link.
- Log in using the Application ID and Password.
- Check the allotted institute and branch.
- Download the provisional allotment letter.
Those who are allotted a seat will have to accept or float their allotted seat. Accepting the seat means you are satisfied with the allottment, while floating means you have accepted the seat provisionally but seek betterment through a higher preference. This decision must be taken carefully and before the due date. As part of the admission formalities, candidates also have to report to the allotted institutes and undergo document verification.
