MHT CET CAP 2026 Registration Fee Increased: General Candidates to Pay Rs. 1,300
The Maharashtra CET Cell has increased the MHT CET CAP 2026 registration fee. General candidates will now pay Rs. 1,300, while the fee for reserved category candidates has been revised to Rs. 1,000.
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has increased the MHT CET 2026 CAP registration fee for engineering. Candidates applying for admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) now have to pay higher registration fee under both categories.Β General category candidates from Maharashtra, Outside Maharashtra (OMS), Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh Migrant categories have to pay Rs. 1,300, while Reserved category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State have to pay Rs. 1,000. Compared to last year the registration fee has increased by Rs. 300 and Rs. 200.

No Registration Fee for MHT CET Candidates
The official notification states that students who had already registered for MHT CET 2026 do not have to pay any fee. Those who did not register for MHT CET 2026 but are applying using valid JEE Main or NEET UG scores must pay the applicable registration fee online. The payment can be made only through online modes such as debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. The fee is non-refundable.
CAP Registration Underway
The MHT CET CAP 2026 registration process is open from July 2 to 12 (5 PM). During this period, candidates must complete the online application, upload documents, and choose either E-scrutiny or physical scrutiny for document verification. The final merit list will be released on July 20, after which the CET Cell will announce the option entry and seat allotment schedule.
