MHT CET CAP Round III 2026: 288 Vacant Seats Announced Following Bombay HC Order
MHT CET 2026 CAP round 3 vacancy list has been updated with 288 seats following a Bombay HC order. Check the institute and course-wise vacancy details.
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the provisional vacancy details for CAP Round 3 for First Year Engineering and Technology admissions for the academic year 2026-27. The vacancy document includes LET. Dr. D. B. Dod College of Engineering, which has been included in the admission process following an order passed by the Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench.
According to the official vacancy document published on August 21, 2026, the institute has been included in the MHT CET CAP admission process on a provisional basis. The inclusion follows the Bombay High Court’s order dated August 19, 2026, in WP 6240 of 2026. The admission process at the institute remains subject to the final approval of the Maharashtra government, the applicable Government Resolution and affiliation of the concerned university. Admissions will also remain subject to the final outcome of the petition.
MHT CET CAP Round 3: 360 seats available at new institute
The vacancy document lists four engineering programmes at LET. Dr. D. B. Dod College of Engineering. The programmes are Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

For Computer Science and Engineering, the institute has an intake of 120 seats, including 78 MS seats, 18 All India seats and 24 institute seats. The vacancy report shows 96 un-aided vacant CAP seats for the programme.
Electrical Engineering has a total intake of 60 seats, with 48 un-aided vacant CAP seats listed for CAP Round 3. The same vacancy figure of 48 seats is reported for Mechanical Engineering.
Artificial Intelligence and Data Science has an intake of 120 seats and 96 un-aided vacant CAP seats. The document also lists 12 EWS seats and six seats under the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for both the 120-seat programmes.
Admissions to remain provisional
Candidates should note that the addition of the institute does not represent an unconditional approval. The State CET Cell has clearly stated that the institute’s participation is provisional and linked to the final approval of the government, Government Resolution and university affiliation. The admission of candidates will also be subject to the outcome of the court petition.
The CAP Round 3 vacancy document also advises candidates to fill all eligible choice codes irrespective of the current vacancy position, as the vacancy position may change during the admission process.
Candidates participating in MHT CET CAP Round 3 should therefore check the latest vacancy position and carefully review the eligibility and provisional status of the newly added institute before entering their choices.
