The National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main April attempt exam dates. With the release of the exam dates and city slip, NTA has confirmed the exam schedule. As earlier announced by NTA, the session 2 exam will be conducted between April 2 and 9. The exact dates on which the JEE Mains session 2 exam will be held during this period are April 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. Read complete details below.
No Changes in JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Dates; NTA Confirms Schedule and Timings
As NTA has released the city slip and has confirmed the JEE Mains session 2 dates, some reports have claimed that the dates have been revised. Note that the exam dates have not been revised. As earlier informed by NTA, the session 2 exams will be held between April 2 and 9. The exact dates are - April 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 for paper 1 and April 7 for paper 2a & 2b exams. The NTA JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam dates are as follows:

The candidates can check the allotted JEE Mains exam date and city on their city intimation slip. The JEE Main April exam city slip is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in under their respective logins. Candidates can logins with their application number and password to check the city slip.
The JEE Main 2026 exam timings are as follows:
- Shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon
- Shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm.
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Admit Card Soon
Candidates should make sure that the city slip is not their admit card. NTA will release the JEE Mains session 2 admit card 3 to 4 days before the allotted exam date. The most expected release date of the JEE Mains April admit card is March 28. The JEE Mains 2026 session 2 shift timings will be allotted to the candidates via the admit card.
The steps to check the JEE Mains session 2 hall ticket are:
- Open the JEE Main 2026 official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on the JEE Main session 2 admit card download link
- Login using the application number and password
- Link to download the admit card will be displayed on the screen
- Download and take its printout

Candidates have to paste the same photo in the admit card that they have uploaded in the JEE Main form. Photo must be pasted before reaching the exam centre.
The JEE Main 2026 session 2 admit card will be out 3 to 4 days before the exam. The most likely date is March 28 to 29.
