The SRMJEEE 2026 question papers have 130 multiple-choice questions, which are based on Physics, Chemistry, and Maths/Biology. Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking. The total time duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The SRMJEEE syllabus covers Physics, Chemistry, and Maths/Biology, and is based on the Class 11 and 12 NCERT books. The difficulty level of the exam will be of easy to moderate level.

Before filling the online application form, candidates must pass or appear in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths/Biology with a minimum 60% aggregate marks required for most campuses.

Once the SRMJEEE notification is out by the end of October 2025, the registrations will start a few days later. As per sources, the SRMJEEE 2026 registration window may open around the first week of November 2025.

• The SRMJEEE Registration Process consists of the following steps - 
• Registration steps: Visit official portal and Register online after on "New User Registration" link. 
• Enter details: Name, Date of birth, Contact details, and create a password.
• Fill the application form: Log in credentials and fill out the rest of the application form by filling in academic and personal details.
• Upload documents: Upload scanned photograph and signature as per specified format.
• Pay application fee: Pay non-refundable application fee online via net banking, credit card, or debit card.
• Print the form: Download print application form for future reference

As per the SRMJEEE exam pattern, the test includes 130 multiple-choice questions that need to be answered in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Each question will carry 1 mark, and there will be no negative marking in the exam. The SRMJEEE Syllabus will be based on the NCERT Class 11 and 12 curriculum. 

To apply for the SRMJEEE exam, students need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria, as per which they are required to fulfill a minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in 12th grade. 

The SRMJEEE syllabus is based on the Class 11 and 12 NCERT curriculum. Students well-versed with their 10+2 PCM or PCM syllabus can clear the exam easily, as the difficulty level is also easy to moderate.

The SRMJEEE exam is conducted in remote-based proctored mode (RPOM). This is a remote-proctored online test that requires a laptop or desktop with a webcam and microphone, as well as a high-speed internet connection. Students can appear for the home from anywhere through their personal laptop.

As of now, the SRMJEEE notification is not out; however, based on the past year dates, we have shared the tentative calendar below - 

• SRMJEEE Registrations to Start: November first week
• Application End: April
• Phase 1 Exam: April third week
• Other phases: Additional phases will be conducted in June and July 2026 to accommodate more candidates 

The SRMJEEE 2026 registration is expected to start around the first week of November 2025. And the Phase 1 exam will be held tentatively in April 2026.

The difficulty level of the SRMJEEE exam is moderate. Chemistry is sometimes easy, while Physics becomes tricky. Mathematics is also tricky. However, it is far easier than the JEE and the BITS exam. The trends vary every year.

As per previous sessions, around 7000-8000 seats are filled across the campuses of the SRMJEEE located in India. The majority of the seats are in Chennai's Kattankulathur campus.

Based on past year data, it has been noticed that CSE, IT, ECE, Mechanical, and AI-ML attract good placements and offer high CTC. The average CTC for CSE students is around INR 7.5 LPA, with top offers above INR 40 LPA.

As the SRMJEEE exam is expected to be held in April 2026, students have nearly 4-5 months to prepare for the exam. During this time, they must focus on their board exams along with dividing their preparation into weekly goals and focusing on high-weightage chapters. They must also give full-length mock tests just before the exam date to get ready.

Once the SRMJEEE registrations start, students must verify all details before applying. The students must avoid the common mistakes, such as - 

• Uploading low-quality photos
• Using different name spellings. For example, if your name spelling is Karan Agarwal in your government documents, you must not use Karan Aggrawal, or, in the case of Rohan Pandey, don't use Rohan Pande. Stick to the name spelling as mentioned in the aadhar card.
• Entering wrong email IDs or those that are not in use.

Once the notification is out, the SRMJEEE 2026 application link will be activated on its official portal srmist.edu.in. Students will have to complete the form carefully before the deadline. We can expect the registrations to start in November.

The SRMJEEE notification is expected to be out by the end of October. The notification PDF will include details about eligibility, exam pattern, and updated seat matrix across campuses.

SRMIST provides an official mock test link before each phase, and students should appear for the mock test to understand the mode of the test and navigate their selves to the technicalities, related to the timer, and proctored settings.

Yes, as in previous years, SRMJEEE 2026 is likely to be held in two or three phases. Phase 1 could take place in April 2026, followed by Phase 2 in June to accommodate the maximum students.

As of now, we are expecting the notification for the 2026 session, but previous year, the application fee was INR 1400. It’s expected to remain unchanged this year too. Candidates will be able to pay the application fee using a debit/credit card or UPI.

For students eagerly awaiting the SRMJEEE 2026 schedule, the schedule will be released by the end of October 2025.
