The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has released the TNEA 2026 Round 3 tentative seat allotment today, August 21. The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has released the TNEA 2026 Round 3 tentative seat allotment today, August 21. Candidates who participated in the third and final round of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling can now check their allotted seats through the official website, tneaonline.org

The Round 3 tentative allotment has been released for candidates with TNEA government general ranks from 18,037 to 46,080 and aggregate marks ranging from 135.5 to 77.500. The allotment has been prepared based on candidates' ranks, choices submitted during counselling and availability of seats after the earlier rounds.

TNEA Round 3 Tentative Allotment 2026 OUT; What Next?

Candidates who have received a seat in the tentative allotment must complete the tentative allotment confirmation process by August 22, 2026, up to 5 PM. The confirmation window opened today and will remain available until tomorrow.

Depending on their allotment and preference, candidates can choose from the options available on the TNEA portal, including accepting the allotted seat, accepting the seat while opting for upward movement, declining the allotment while opting for upward movement, or quitting the counselling process.

Candidates should carefully select their preferred option within the deadline, as failure to complete the confirmation process may affect their participation in the subsequent stages of counselling.

TNEA 2026 Round 3 Counselling: Important Dates

As per the official TNEA 2026 schedule, the provisional allotment for candidates who accept and join, as well as the tentative allotment for candidates opting for upward movement, will be released on August 23. The joining and reporting process will be conducted from August 23 to August 27, between 10 AM and 5 PM. The provisional allotment for candidates who opt for upward movement is scheduled for August 31.
