TNEA 2026 Round 3 Choice Filling Starts; Last Date to Fill Choices August 19

Candidates eligible for the third and final round of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling can now enter and submit their preferred colleges and courses through the official website, tneaonline.org. The choice-filling window will remain open until August 19, 2026, up to 5 PM.

TNEA Round 3 is being conducted for candidates with general ranks from 1,31,094 to 2,33,812. The corresponding aggregate marks range is 135.5 to 77.500. Candidates falling within the specified rank range and meeting the eligibility criteria can participate in this round.

TNEA 2026 Round 3 Important Dates

As per the official TNEA counselling schedule, choice filling for Round 3 started at 10 AM on August 17 and will close at 5 PM on August 19. The tentative seat allotment result will be released on August 21. Candidates will then have to confirm their tentative allotment between August 21 and 22.

The provisional allotment for candidates who accept and join, along with tentative allotment for candidates opting for upward movement, will be released on August 23. The joining and reporting window will be open from August 23 to August 27.

How to Fill TNEA Round 3 Choices

Candidates can visit the official TNEA portal and log in using their credentials. They need to select their preferred colleges and branches and arrange them in order of preference before submitting the choices.

The order of preferences is important as seat allotment is based on the candidate's rank, community, availability of seats and the order in which choices are entered. Candidates can enter any number of choices during the choice-filling period.
