TS EAMCET 2025: Telangana Removes 15% Quota for Non-Local Students in Higher Education

Telangana Higher Education department has scrapped the 15% quota for non-locals in Telangana higher education institutes. As per the government orders, 85% of the seats will be now reserved for local applicants of Telangana. TS EACET application form 2025 is available at eapcet.tgche.ac.in. TS EAPCET 2025 exam for Agriculture stream will be conducted on April 29 & 30. TS EAPCET 2025 exam for engineering stream will be conducted from May 2 to 5.  

TS EAPCET Registration Details 2025: Telangana Higher Education department has scrapped the 15% quota for non-locals in higher education institutes. As per the government orders, 85% of seats in higher education institutions will be reserved for local candidates. The orders will be applicable for birth private/government higher educational institute and technical institutes. The move will now make it difficult for non-local candidates to get admission into higher educational institutes of Telangana. The government also revised the region wise reservation of seats which states that Andhra Pradesh students are no longer eligible for local quota.  

The government order also states that 15% reservation must have lived in the state for a total of 10 years or one of the parents must have resided in the state for a toral of 10 years. Applicants whose parents are employed by the state or central government, public sector corporations, local bodies, universities, or similar institutions within the state, as well as candidates who are spouses of individuals employed by the state or central government, public sector corporations, local bodies, universities, government-recognized educational institutions, or other quasi-government institutions within the state, are also eligible to claim seats under the 15% unreserved quota. 

JNTUH has released the TS EAMCET 2025 application form at the official website. Applicants can complete the TS EAMCET registration 2025 at eapcet.tgche.ac.in. The last date to fil TS EAPCET application form is April 4 without late fee. However, applicants can also fill TS EAPCET 2025 application with a late fee. 

TS EAMCET 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 29 & 30 for Agriculture stream. The exam for engineering stream will be conducted from May 2 to 5. JNTUH will conduct the TS EAPCET 2025 exam in online computer-based mode. Applicants are advised to keep track of TS EAMCET official website for latest updates.
