UPES Partners with Salesforce to Launch New B.Tech Programme in Data Science

UPES has announced a partnership with Salesforce to introduce a new B.Tech Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programme with a specialisation in Data Science. The collaboration will also lead to the establishment of a Salesforce Academia Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the university. The new programme has been designed jointly by UPES and Salesforce to help students learn skills related to data science, enterprise technologies, and digital business systems. Students will get access to Salesforce learning resources and certification opportunities as part of the course.

Salesforce Centre of Excellence to be Set Up at UPES

A key part of the collaboration is the creation of a Salesforce Academia Centre of Excellence on the UPES campus. The centre will support student training, faculty development, certification programmes, industry projects, and research activities. The CoE will include specialised labs and learning facilities where students can work with Salesforce technologies and gain practical exposure during their studies.

Industry-Focused Learning for Students

According to UPES, the programme will follow a model where both institutions work together on curriculum design, teaching, and certification. Students will have access to Salesforce platforms and tools from the beginning of the course. The university said students will also get opportunities to participate in industry projects, internships, and certification programs that can help improve their job readiness. 

Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Sinha, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Success), UPES, said the partnership aims to prepare students for future industry requirements through practical learning and industry collaboration.

Mankiran Chowhan, Managing Director at Salesforce India, said the collaboration reflects the growing need for students to develop skills in data, technology, and emerging digital tools. With the launch of the new programme and the Centre of Excellence, UPES and Salesforce aim to provide students with greater exposure to industry practices and professional certification pathways during their academic journey.
