UPTAC 2026 Special Round 1 Dates Revised; Round 2 Schedule Announced
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has revised the UPTAC 2026 Special Round 1 counselling schedule for BTech, Integrated MTech and BDes admissions. As per the revised schedule, the dates for Special Round 1 have been updated, while the university has also announced the schedule for UPTAC 2026 Special Round 2.
UPTAC 2026 Special Round 1 Dates Revised; Round 2 Schedule Announced
Candidates participating in the UPTAC 2026 special counselling rounds are advised to check the revised deadlines to avoid missing any admission-related activity. According to the revised schedule, UPTAC Special Round 1 seat allotment will be announced on August 18, 2026. The payment of the Special Round fee of Rs 20,000 and document verification will continue till August 14. Candidates can complete choice filling up to August 16. The seat vacancy for Special Round 2 will also be displayed on August 18.
Candidates allotted a seat in Special Round 1 will have to complete physical reporting from August 19 to August 21, 2026. The schedule specifies that candidates who fail to report at the allotted institute within the given deadline will have their allotted seat cancelled. No refund will be provided in such cases.
UPTAC 2026 Special Round 2 Dates
The UPTAC Special Round 2 registration process will begin on August 19 and continue till August 23, 2026. Candidates participating in the round will have to pay the Rs 20,000 Special Round fee by August 26. Document verification will be conducted till August 25.
The choice filling window for UPTAC Special Round 2 will be open from August 23 to August 26, following which the seat allotment result will be announced on August 27, 2026.
Candidates allotted seats in Special Round 2 will have to complete physical reporting at their respective institutes from August 29 to August 31, 2026. Since seats allotted in the special round are subject to the specified conditions, candidates should carefully check the allotment status and complete all required formalities within the deadline.
UPTAC conducts special rounds to fill seats remaining vacant after the regular counselling and internal sliding process. Candidates should regularly check the official UPTAC portal (uptac.samarth.edu.in) for any further updates or changes to the schedule.

UPTAC counselling cutoff 2025 is released in the form of opening and closing ranks at uptac.admissions.nic.in. The exam authority releases the UPTAC cutoff separately for all the courses and categories. Candidates do not require any login credentials to check UPTAC cutoff. However, candidates must fill in details like round, institute and category to check the UPTAC counselling cutoff 2025.
The total course fee for the BTech programme at AKTU ranges between INR 35,600 and INR 12.5 lakh. AKTU BTech admissions is offered based on JEE Main scores. However, UPSEE scores will be considered to fill the vacant seats after JEE Main Counselling is over. The counselling process of shortlisted candidates is managed and regulated by AKTU based on which the candidates are allotted seats. The seat allotment is based on the affiliated college cutoff and candidate's preference for courses and colleges. AKTU offers a four-year B.Tech programme in 40+ specialisations. It is the flagship programme of the University which is offered for a duration of four years.
