WBJEE form fill up date 2026 to be announced soon; state election to delay exam?

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will soon announce WBJEE form fill up date 2026. To be registered for exam, candidates will have to complete WBJEE 2026 registration online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. According to previous years’ trends, WBJEE application form is expected to be released in third week of January. Online application process remains open for atleast a month for all eligible candidates.
WBJEE 2026 Official Notification Delayed: Is state election affecting exam announcement?
Official WBJEE 2026 exam date notification is not released yet. While it was expected in December 2025, there has been a delay by WBJEEB authorities because of unknown reasons. Through WBJEE official notification, candidates are notified about entrance examination date and other related details.
According to reports, delay in WBJEE 2026 exam date announcement may be due to upcoming state elections. West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections is scheduled to be held in March or April 2026, and there is a possibility of it clashing with WBJEE exam date. Since election dates have not been announced yet, WBJEEB may be delaying exam date announcement to avoid any issues with the entrance examination.
WBJEE 2026 is expected to be held in last week of April 2026, as a pen and paper based test. For admissions into BTech courses offered by State Government and self financing institutes, candidates have to qualify entrance exam. However, JEE Main qualified candidates are eligible for admissions into 10% seats offered by self financing institutes.
WBJEE application form will not be released offline. Students will have to fill and submit application form online. Offline forms will not be available. Print out of application form does not have to be submitted to authorities.
While filling WBJEE application form, students will have to upload their photograph and signature. Documents have to be scanned and uploaded correctly. If required documents are not uploaded, then application form cannot be submitted.
