The Himachal Pradesh government gave permission to fill 819 posts in the elementary education department. This is inclusive of 532 junior basic teachers and 35 language teachers.

The Himachal Pradesh government gave the approval to fill 819 contractual posts in the primary education department. This also includes 532 junior basic teachers and 35 language teachers. It also gave permission to the hiring of 1,578 para workers consisting of 417 para pump operators, 287 para fitters and 874 multipurpose workers for 394 new drinking water and irrigation plans of the Irrigation and Public Health Department.

A cabinet meeting chaired by Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, gave the clearance to fill 16 posts of junior technicians in the Horticulture Department on contract. A go-ahead was also given to make appointments to 11 posts of Civil Judge by means of direct recruitment.

Apart from this, the cabinet approved modifications to the policy on the gathering and elimination of pine needles from forests to lessen fire incidents. To this end, the cabinet is trying to encourage stakeholders to work for the elimination of pine needles and persuade industries to use them as fuel.

Of late, Himachal Government has been taking several measures to boost the growth in the state. The hilly state is one of the developing states in India and imbibes a lot of potentials to play a big role in the development of the country. The state government is trying to ensure the growth continues.
