Anna University Introduces Masters in Computer Aided Programme Under RUSA Initiative
RUSA initiative aims to improve the quality of higher education, the university aims to enhance governance in institutions, promote autonomy in state universities, increase state funding for higher education, lower the student-teacher ratio, and boost the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER).
Anna University has introduced a Master’s program in Computer Aided Management (CAM) for students under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) following the centre's approval. As part of the RUSA's initiative, Anna University will admit 40 students into the Master’s in CAM program. The course will run from the last week of February to the first week of March.
Programme to Support RUSA's Initiative
RUSA 2.0 (2023-2026), a scheme from the Ministry of Education aimed at enhancing higher education, will focus on improving quality, equity, and access. Key objectives include strengthening governance in institutions, promoting autonomy in state universities, increasing government funding for higher education, lowering the student-teacher ratio, and boosting the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER).
The course aims to cater to the Anna University College of Engineering (COE), Alagappa College of Technology, School of Architecture and Planning, and Madras Institute of Technology. All curriculum development programs are funded with Rs 15 crore under RUSA 2.0.
TANCET Registration 2025 Ends Today
Meanwhile, Anna University will conclude the TANCET 2025 registration process today for admission to MBA and MCA programmes. Students interested in filling the application form shall apply online at the earliest to avoid missing the application deadline. TANCET stands for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. A state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to postgraduate programmes in offline mode across various cities in Tamil Nadu.
