Central University of Kerala has introduced a new course for postgraduate students. From session 2026-27, Central University of Kerala will commence admissions for MSc in Microbiology course. A total of 30 seats will be offered to students who have qualified the CUET PG 2026 exam. The Central University of Kerala MSc Microbiology admission last date is June 10, 2026. 

The CUK authorities said those completing the course can pursue careers as microbiologists, research scientists, clinical microbiologists and environmental microbiologists. The registration process is online and students can get link to apply for programme on the official website. However, students have to ensure they are eligible for the programme otherwise the application form will be rejected during any time of the admission process.

Central University of Kerala MSc Microbiology Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates with a degree in Life Sciences or related subjects with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST students) can apply for the Master's Microbiology programme.  

“Microbiology has become one of the most important disciplines in the life sciences sector, with growing opportunities in research, healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food safety and environmental conservation. The university is introducing the course since the demand for qualified microbiologists is steadily increasing in both public and private sectors,” The official notification mentioned.
