Galgotias University hosts India's Men's and Women's National Lacrosse Teams for an elite 2026 training camp led by Head Coach Yukari Yamamoto. 

Galgotias University hosts the National Coaching Camp for India’s Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Teams. The camp serves as important preparation for major upcoming international tournaments. The athletes are gearing up for the Southeast Asian Cup 2026 in Malaysia. They are also preparing for Asia Pacific Lacrosse Sixes Championship 2026 on Australia's Sunshine Coast.

The training camp brings together 63 elite athletes from 11 Indian states. The cohort includes 33 men and 30 women. This diverse roster highlights the expanding national reach of the sport. Japanese player and coach Yukari Yamamoto is leading the high-performance camp. She is working in collaboration with the Lacrosse Association of India.

This camp follows a historic milestone for Indian lacrosse. Both national teams secured gold medals at the Asian Lacrosse Games 2026 in Riyadh.
