Ramaiah Group News today

Ramaiah Group’s Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) has collaborated with University at Albany, New York, to launch Ramaiah Institute of Science and Management (RISM). RISM is going to be India’s first greenfield deemed-to-be university. The institution is going to be a STEM and management university built from scratch to align with demands of the modern global economy.

The collaboration aims to get a knowledge partnership rather than an agreement. Curriculum will include co-development, active faculty, study baselines, and international research from the foundation of this academic partnership.

RISM is establishing its campus close to tech hubs. The main campus is under construction in the Information Technology Investment Region near Devanahalli. It will be fully operational by September 2028. Students will not have to wait until then to start their course. The session will commence from a campus located in Yelahanka in August 2026.

RISM is going to address a 40-year non-relation between traditional academic outputs and corporate requirements. The curriculum moves entirely away from standard credentialing to focus on capability-building. Students will get learning in artificial intelligence, aerospace, technology management, and electrical sciences. Students will engage with a unique Mentor Professor model and guidance from senior industry leaders directly within the faculty.
