SNU Introduces Life Science Research Programme; BSc, BTech Students Eligible to Apply

Shiv Nadar University has launched a one-year certificate program in Life Science Research, where the inaugural cohort will have a maximum of 20 students, and the application process for the program will begin in March 2025.
Shiv Nadar University (SNU) has announced the commencement of a one-year post-baccalaureate/ postgraduate certificate program in Life Sciences Research from the academic session 2025-26. The authorities have announced the launch of the aforesaid program on the occasion of National Science Day. The inaugural cohort will have a maximum of 20 students who will be introduced to the latest curriculum in order to bridge the gap in undergraduate education.
In line with this year's National Science Day theme, "Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation" for Viksit Bharat, the program provides immersive, practical laboratory training to help students develop advanced research skills for further studies and careers in academia, industry, and beyond. The program will be led by 20 esteemed faculty members who will offer mentorship and interdisciplinary guidance across various fields of life sciences.
Ananya Mukherjee, Vice-Chancellor of Shiv Nadar University highlighted her delight saying, “We believe in nurturing a culture of deep inquiry and innovation. This program is a step towards enhancing research capabilities in life sciences and strengthening India’s contribution to global scientific advancements. By offering students an opportunity to work on real-world challenges in a laboratory setting, we are preparing them for impactful careers in academia, industry, and beyond.”
Eligibility Criteria for PG Certificate Life Sciences Research Course
Graduates with BSc, BTech or equivalent degrees with a minimum of 60% or CGPA 6/10 who wish to pursue a career in Sciences with a focus on Research. The authorities will begin the admission process in the month of March 2025.

Shiv Nadar University does not offer direct admission to any of the programme. BTech CSE is one of the popular specialisations of SNU. Candidates are required to either qualify JEE Main or CUET/ SAT/ SNUSAT. Now, is 82 percentile enough in JEE Main to get a seat in BTech CE programme of SNU Noida. The chances are low. As per the information collated from multiple sources, aspirants must score 90 & above percentile for getting into a specialisation like Computer Science. Besides, aspirants with 98 percentile in JEE Main. can avail SNU Scholarship providing 25% waiver in tuition fee.
