Normalisation

In order to overcome the situation where candidates who attempt the comparatively tougher examination get lower marks as compared to those who attempt the easier one, the normalisation procedure is adopted for compiling the NTA scores for multi-session papers. This is done to ensure that a candidate's true merit is identified and a level playing field is created. Under this process, NTA shall use the percentile equivalence method where candidates’ scores are compared across multi-session papers. This process is similar to those being adopted in other large educational selection tests across the country.
