Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan To Attend DU International Yoga Day Celebration

University of Delhi is organising the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on June 21. To make this occasion vibrant, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be joining the event as the chief guest of the day. Additionally, MP Manoj Tiwari will be the guest of honour at the event. 

The University of Delhi will hold International Yoga Day on June 21, which will be presided over by the Vice Chancellor, of the university, Prof. Yogesh Singh. The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, will be joining the event as the chief guest while MP Manoj Tiwari will be the guest of honour at the event. 

Approximately 1,000 students from the affiliated colleges and departments of the University of Delhi will take the initiative and participate in the event. During the event, students will be provided with the knowledge of Yoga. Yoga Guru Surakhsit Goswami will be teaching asanas to the students and providing them with information about the asanas. 

The Delhi University's International Yoga Day will be organised in the multipurpose hall of the sports stadium of the complex of Delhi University from 6:00 AM onwards. The necessary arrangements such as food and water will be provided for the students participating in the International Day of Yoga programme. The management will ensure that students teachers and other staff members participating in the programme will reach by 5:30 AM. 

Meanwhile, Delhi University has announced that the academic session 2024-25 will begin on July 21, 2024, with a tentative start date of August 1 for all the programmes.
