APSSDC, Oracle Collaborates to Train 4 Lakh Students in AI and Data Science to Tackle IT Skills Gap
The collaboration between Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation and Oracle will offer 300 hours of learning programmes to 4,00,000 students on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle AI services, OCI Generative AI, OCI Data Science, among other courses in IT sector.
Oracle and Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) have collaborated to provide 400,000 students within the state with necessary skills development training to improve their employability and further their professions. The collaboration will allow students to have access to digital training materials and foundational certificates to help them prepare for future careers. Students who will participate in the training session will get access to over 300 hours of learning programmes on several technologies, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle AI services, OCI Data Science, Oracle APEX, OCI Generative AI, OCI DevOps, and Oracle Security.
Ganesh Kumar, MD and CEO of APSSDC, shared his delight with the collaboration, saying, "Our collaboration with Oracle is a huge milestone in strengthening and expanding the digital capabilities of the youth of Andhra Pradesh. We are determined to produce a highly skilled IT workforce and become the IT knowledge hub for the world.”
Highlights of Programme
The curriculum will be provided as a free digital learning experience via Oracle MyLearn. It will provide intensive fundamental training in cloud technologies, followed by professional-level learning, certificates, and additional instruction tailored to individual learning levels and educational aspirations. It will also give students a strong basis in cloud computing and an in-depth understanding of other important ideas like AI, machine learning, data science, and blockchain.
In addition to professional certificates, students can obtain badges demonstrating their preparation for particular work responsibilities, making it easier for employers to find suitable people and promote job placement initiatives in the state.
