ISACA Launches Advanced in AI Audit Certification for Auditors; Details Inside

Individuals having an active CISA from ISACA, CIA from IIA, and CPA from AICPA can pursue the AAIA certification, which covers important subjects such as AI governance and risk, AI operations, and AI auditing tools and procedures.
The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) has introduced the ISACA Advanced in AI Audit (AAIA) certification, which is an audit-specific artificial intelligence certification for experienced auditors. The certification recognises IT audit professionals who can traverse the complexity of AI, demonstrating their ability to respond to risks, discover opportunities, and ensure compliance while maintaining organisational integrity.
This certification is supported by ISACA's trusted experience in IT auditing, as well as well-known credentials such as ISACA's Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Institute of Internal Auditors' Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Certified Public Accountant (CPA). It demonstrates your ability to audit artificial intelligence (AI) systems, overcome integration problems, and improve audit procedures through AI-powered insights.
Empowering IT Auditors with AI Skills and Capabilities
IT auditing professionals have the ability to audit AI-enabled systems, but also leverage AI tools to make their jobs easier and faster. These solutions assist in removing manual labour, increase efficiency, and promote faster and more accurate decisions—all while maintaining high standards for precision, compliance, and innovation.
Those having an active CISA from ISACA, CIA from IIA, and CPA from AICPA can pursue the AAIA, which covers essential topics such as AI governance and risk, AI activities, and AI auditing tools and procedures.
Shannon Donahue, ISACA Chief Content and Publishing Officer shared his delight saying “ISACA is proud to have served the global audit community for more than 55 years through our audit and assurance standards, frameworks and certifications, and we are continuing to help the community evolve and thrive with the certifications and training they need in this new era of audits involving AI.”
