The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has announced that all eligible SC/ST, PwD, and female candidates can now apply for the Protsahan Puraskar for the July 2025 examination cycle.

NIELIT invites applications from eligible SC/ST, PwD, and female candidates who have been pursuing O/A/B/C Level Courses for the Protsahan Puraskar for the July 2025 examination cycle.

The Protsahan Puraskar Form is available on the NIELIT Student Portal at student.nielit.gov.in/. Candidates are advised to fill the form carefully and submit it within the given timeline.

Eligibility for Protsahan Puraskar

  • The Protsahan Puraskar scheme applies to SC/ST/PwD and Female candidates who are pursuing full-time O/A/B/C level Courses at the NIELIT from authorised institutes.
  • Candidates must pass the papers on their first attempt and complete the courses within the defined number of attempts.
  • Annual income of the parents of the student from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lakh per annum. 

Important Dates

Institutes are requested to verify and forward the duly filled forms to NIELIT through the same portal within 45 days from the date of the result declaration.

The last date for submitting the Protsahan Puraskar Form is December 13, 2025. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Q: Β  When will the NIELIT 2026 O/A/B/C January cycle application form be released?
A:

NIELIT 2026 O/A/B/C January cycle application forms will be available around September-October 2025. NIELIT 2026 O/A/B/C courses January cycle applications will be possible from then on. No applications will be accepted after the NIELIT 2026 application form deadline. All proper and valid details had to be entered in the NIELIT 2026 application form for O/A/B/C courses. 

Q: Β  What is the NIELIT application fee for O level?
A:

While registering for NIELIT exam, the candidates will be required to pay the application fee. As per the official notification, the NIELIT application fee for O level is INR 500. All of the candidates will have to pay the NIELIT application fee online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card or through the CSC-SPV services. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

Q: Β  Is the NIELIT registration open for both direct and institute candidates?
A:

Yes, the NIELIT registration process is open for both direct and institute candidates. However, the final date for NIELIT registration will be different for both categories. Candidates will be able to access the NIELIT registration link online at student.nielit.gov.in. No other mode of application will be accepted. The registration process has to be completed before the final date to participate in the examination.
