JAC to declare Class 8th result this week

Those students who had appeared for class 8 exams in the state can expect the results by end of this week, the Jharkhand Academic Council said.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has said that it has prepared the class 8 results and will be announcing the same by this week. 

While speaking to a media house, Mahip Kumar, Secretary, JAC, said “As the council had announced the result of class 9 exam on May 2, 2020, the class 8 result will also be announced in a day or two. The date of result declaration will be announced a day before,” the official said.

Around 5.14 lakh students had appeared for class 8 examination which was conducted in January.

Once declared, the students can check the results through the websites- jac.nic.in, jacresults.com, jac.jharkhand.gov.in and jharresults.nic.in.

The students can check the results through other apps available at the Google Play store. To get the results via an app, candidates have to pre-register their roll numbers.

This year, a total of 4.06 lakh students had cleared the Class 9 exam, with counting pass percentage of 97.42 per cent. The evaluation process for JAC Class 10th Board Exam and JAC Class 12th Board Exam has been started, students can expect the JAC 10th Result 2020 and JAC 12th Result 2020 by July.

This is the first time that the council will be broadcasting the evaluation process to live through CCTV cameras. The arrangements have been made to keep an eye on protocols of social distancing being followed at various centres, secretary Mahip Kumar Singh said.

Over 6.21 lakh students appeared in the board exams this year that was concluded on March 27, days after lockdown.
