Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) has received the approval to introduce law courses, including five-year integrated programmes in BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), and LLM programme from the academic session 2025-26. 

AKU Law Programmes 2025

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has granted its permission to Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) to introduce law courses from the academic session 2025-26. BCI has approved to commence five-year integrated law programmes including BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. The programmes will commence from the current academic session at the different centres of the university across the state, as reported by TOI. 

Reportedly, the university applied for approval of integrated programmes from the BCI in the month of December last year. The admission process and the examination regulations of the programmes have been approved by the statutory bodies like the academic council and syndicate. The team of BCI conducted an online inspection of the infrastructure and academics offered by the university. 

Meanwhile, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication under Aryabhatta Knowledge University is inviting applications for certification courses in photography and filmmaking. The Certificate courses in Photography is a three-month programme with a seat intake of 30. On the other hand, the certificate course in filmmaking is a five-month programme with a seat intake of 30. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications till June 16, 2025. However, students are suggested to first go through the eligibility criteria of the programmes before filling the application form.
