The CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in a pen-and-paper (offline) format. The CLAT 2026 application window will open on August 1, 2025, and remain active till October 31, 2025, giving candidates three months to register. CLAT 2026 will be conducted for 24 NLUs across the country.

The Consortium of National Law Universities has announced the schedule for the Common Law Admission Test. It is the national level entrance examination for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate law programmes at 24 participating NLUs. As per the notification, the CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted on December 7. The CLAT 2026 application window will open on August 1, 2025, and remain active till October 31, 2025.

Who Can Apply for CLAT 2026?

For UG Program

Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 or equivalent.

For PG Program

Must have completed or be in the final year of LLB degree.
