A total of 73 companies participated in the placement drive of LM Thapal School of Management.  Top recruiting companies that made overwhelming offers to students are American Express, Deloitte, PwC, Ernst & Young, Volvo Eicher, Hyundai, ZS, Xiaomi, JSW, Xebia, Accenture, Reliance, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Asian Paints, Nestle, Smartcube, and Newgen Software. American Express made the highest number of offers.

According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking 2021 in the management category, in the year 2019-20, 129 students graduated from the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology out of which 100 students were placed with a median salary of INR 5.79 lakh.
