Girl students outshined boy students once again by 3.83 percent.

In Maharashtra State Board SSC or Class 10 results 2018 announced today 125 students across Maharashtra scored 100 percent in while 63,331 candidates have scored above 90 percent.

Mumbai's Shrutika Mahajan is one of the 125 students who have scored 100 percent in the Maharashtra State Board SSC exam 2018. A resident of Dombivali, Shrutika scored 485 marks in the written exam and 15 bonus marks for arts (Bharatnatyam), which add up to 100 percent. Shrutika is an avid Bharatnatyam enthusiast and has participated in several competitions at district-level.

Another Dombivali resident, Bhavik Bharambe scored 100% marks. He is a student of Model English School, Dombivali. Bhavik, a national level chess player studied only from school notes and reference books. Since he is a national level chess plauyer, that helped him score 15 grace marks. Bhavik, plans to pursue Engineering. 

Khushi Vora of Dr S Radhakrishnan School scored 99.60%. A trained classical dancer, says she loves dancing continued with it even during the board year. Khushi plans to take up Science in HSc as she wants to become a doctor.

The total pass percentage of the state is 89.41, about 0.67 percent more than last year’s score. Girl students outshined boy students once again by 3.83 percent.

About 4000 schools across the state have recorded 100 per cent result, while 33 schools have zero pass percentage. These 33 schools belong to Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Amaravati, Nasik and Latur.

Highlights of Maharashtra SSC or class 10 result 2018:

  • Total pass percentage of girls is  91.17
  • The total pass percentage of boys is 87.27
  • 125 students have got 100% per cent marks in the exam.
  • 63,331 students across the state have scored 90 per cent or above
  • The total pass percentage this year is 89.41, an increase of 0.67 per cent, than last year.
  • 100 per cent pass percentage has been obtained by more than 4000 schools
  • 33 schools from Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Amaravati, Nasik and Latur have got zero pass percentage
  • 86.87 per cent of handicapped students have passed the examination
  • Konkan has topped among the district with 96 per cent
  • Nagpur is at the bottom of the list with 85 per cent
  • Mumbai has registered a pass percentage of 90.41 while in Pune, 92.08 per cent SSC students passed the exam
  • A total of 5486 candidates have scored above 90 percent
  • The date for the distribution of marksheets will also be announced in two days
