Maharashtra 11th Admissions 2020: The School Education and Sports Department of the Government of Maharashtra have released the second list of Junior College allotment for regular admission. Those who are interested can check the list by visiting their respective college logins. The 2nd FYJC Merit List 2020 for each division is now available on the SESD official website, 11thadmission.org.in. The cut-off list is displayed and SMSes have been sent to students, as per the official notice.
Students must note that if they want to proceed with the seat allotted to them, they will need to confirm the same on or before December 9. The window will close by 5 pm. Students must note that they have to compulsorily take admission in allotted junior colleges for which they have been assigned seats in the choice of their first preference. If such a student fails to take admission or reject it, they will be blocked for further rounds, as per the rules.
This year, due to the ongoing pandemic, the admission process is being held virtually. Students will have to submit their fees only through the digital modes that can consist of NEFT, online payment, e-wallet payment etc. Those who submit payment will book their seats. In case any seats are still left, a list of vacant seats will be released and the third regular admission round will be held to fill those seats. The schedule for the third round or any special round thereafter has not been released yet.
A total of 2,77,678 students had registered for the junior college or FYJC admissions, There are a total of 844 colleges in which 2,42,234 seats are to be filled, as per the official data. As of now, the first round of admissions has been done.
The 2nd FYJC Merit list was earlier scheduled to be released by September 10, 2020. However, it was not released after the Supreme Court’s stay on Maratha Quota in jobs. The move impacted lakhs of students in Maharashtra who were waiting for admission to the FYJC or Class 11.
