DU South Campus to Introduce MA Journalism Course; VC Inaugurates Multimedia Studio at Premises

DU Vice-Chancellor announced that from the next academic session, the Hindi Department at DU’s South Campus will also start an MA program in Journalism and a state-of-the-art facility with advanced technology and tools to facilitate students will be provided at the premises.
Delhi University's South Campus has inaugurated Multimedia Studio. During the event, Chief Guest Professor Yogesh Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi spoke about the relevance of journalists and called upon journalists who have not place personal gain above national interest.
On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor also announced that from the next academic session, the Hindi Department at DU’s South Campus will also start an MA program in Journalism.
During a podcast recording session by the studio team, Prof. Singh, said that during his three-year tenure as DU's Vice-Chancellor, he aimed on developing the university's infrastructure better year by year. He mentioned that around 22 such projects are currently underway and that the university is committed to continuing this work of performing better. He also shared that, after three decades of university's existence, a new college has been added to the university.
When asked about the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) at Delhi University, Prof. Singh said, “I want the National Education Policy to be fully implemented first, and through this experiment, we can also incorporate new elements into education. We must continue experimenting in order to progress.” He also spoke about the global rankings of Delhi University, emphasizing that efforts are being made to improve the university's standing even further.
Several influencial personalitites such as Prof. Balram Pani (Dean of Colleges), Prof. Shriprakash Singh (Director, South Campus), Dr. Vikas Gupta (Registrar), Anoop Lather (Chairperson of DU Cultural Council and PRO), Prof. Sudha Singh (Head of Hindi Department), Prof. Anil Rai (In-charge of Hindi Department, South Campus), Prashant Nagar, Dr. Seema Bharti, Prabhakar Mishra were present at the event.

The multimedia studio at Delhi University’s South Campus is a state-of-the-art facility that have advanced technology and tools to facilitate the creation of multimedia content. It supports audio and video production, graphic design, animation, and other digital media projects.
